More and more students are now taking a Gap Year or Semester, a bridge between high school graduation and beginning college. Gap Year programs offer students the opportunity to further explore ther interests and the world before moving forward with academic and career goals.
SAGE offers Academic, Adventure and Service based Gap Programs in 3 unique destinations. Please also refer to our Volunteer Programs page for additional programs to consider for your Gap Year.
Woodstock School's Gap Year in the Himalaya Studying Indian culture, learning to communicate in Hindi, trekking up snowy peaks in Garhwal, exploring the picturesque settlements of Kaza, stumbling across millennia-old monasteries, spotting tigers in Corbett National Park, white-water rafting on the Ganges - there is something for every true adventurer in the Woodstock Gap Semester in the Himalayas.
The Bahamas Gap Semester Spend a gap year on the white sandy beaches of the Bahamas while learning about and promoting the conservation of the tropical marine and coastal ecosystems of Eleuthera. Take all this in while living and learning on a sustainable campus that incorporates energy, water, waste, and food security in an effort to design and create more resilient communities.
