Location:
Kodaikanal International School is located in southern
India in the peaceful Palani Hills in a
region known for its rugged beauty and cool
temperate climate. A residential school
in Kodaikanal town, Kodai is situated in
the heart of town, overlooking the wooded
surroundings of beautiful Kodai Lake.
Facilities:
The traditional gray stone and terracotta
roofed buildings that surround the main
“Quad” give the campus a collegiate
feel. Some students stay in dorms on campus,
as Kodai is a residential school; in Kodaikanal
town there are also dorms in which some
students live, a short 10-minute walk away
from the main campus.
The High School itself has 22 academic
department offices, over 60 spacious classrooms,
a large computerized library with more than
28,000 volumes, theater, 2 media centers,
5 computing labs, student recreation rooms
and study hall as well as meeting and performance
spaces.
Kodai’s visual & performing arts
facilities include a multipurpose performing
arts space, 2 mini theaters, 54 individual
music practice / teaching rooms including
Indian dance, and an art center.
Kodai’s sports and recreational facilities
include: covered courts, playing fields,
outdoor basketball courts, racquetball courts,
tennis courts, and a weight room.

In addition, Kodai has acquired a nearby
94 acre wilderness campus which provides
a focus for environmental awareness programs.
